Current Fishing Report

A nice note and current fishing and home report from Group Three’s MWFer Tim “Four More Years” Aldrich:

I just talked with Kathy and she is doing well, but boy is she busy.  It sounds like she has a schedule for you when you arrive this weekend.  She did say that the salmon flies are out and she had them visiting her today.  The Missoulian had a good story by Greg Tollefson this morning and salmon flies were on his mind.  Three of us floated a piece of the Bitterroot yesterday, and did not do well.  The water is quite clear, but it was flowing pretty hard.  I did catch a few, but it was not a day to remember as far as fish.  We did see lots of wildlife including a bald eagle adult with two in the nest.  Ducks and geese were scurrying ahead of us all the time too.  It was a gorgeous day and the Bitterroots and Saphires were in their glory.  Like my dad told me years ago, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of working.  I think things are going to be absolutely prime for Extravaganza 13.  I look forward to seeing you soon.  tim
