A nice note from ringer Twenty Inch Clubber and MWF Outreach Coordinator Nick Gevock (Nick landed a 20 ½ incher fishing with our Double Up Outfitter):
Ron,
I’m writing to express my appreciation for hosting me and letting me speak about the value of MWF Monday evening at your extravaganza. But first the important stuff.
The Bitterroot has always been my favorite river in Montana, one that I fished the most while attending UM and one that I had tremendous success on. But yesterday was among the best days of fishing I’ve ever had and I learned a great deal about the river and how to fish it. John Gould is the best guide I’ve ever met and he taught me a ton about reading water, picking spots with fish and getting the fly in there with the presentation to attract a fish. It was incredible and I know I’ll take those lessons and be a better angler because of it.
As for the whole event, I had a great time and was happy to speak about MWF and the difference the support of the people you brought here makes. Great food, great company and the spectacular setting of Rock Creek – what more could anyone ask for. Thanks again and I hope to see you sometime this summer or in Napa this fall.
Cheers
