Group Three Day Three

Dem Threes would up their Extravaganza experience and fishing with the same hot weather that seared them on Day Two, yielding one big fish on each of the rivers fished:  (a) 20 ½  incher rainbow on the Bitterroot [see separate postings]; (b) “Sponge Bobber” Branstad’s 18” Blackfoot brown and (c) Josh “B’Gosh” Genser’s 18” lower Clark Fork bow.  It was a hot time in the old town that day, with temps matching the 101 degrees of Day Two, all of which saw the assembled Threes meeting early at Hooters and then heading back to Headquarters to shower and host the Extravaganza’s annual Guide Appreciation Party and Eleventh Annual Miller Barber Rock Creek Casting Contest [likewise, see separate postings].

The final morning for the Threes saw Rodger “Doctor” Schuester being given the Yellow Shirt for the trip and the wonderful foursome of Your Hostess With The Mostess Kookin’ Kathy along with her sidekicks and wonderful & invaluable E-13 right arms of twin Julie and inlaws/outlaws Barbie and Susanne receiving a rousing standing ovation expressing the thanks of not only the assembled Threes but also that of all E-13 Extravaganzers for the wonderful care, attention, meals and love that this tireless (but nonetheless exhausted) team provided to us all.  Congrats and thanks to all four on this Fourth of July!!

And that left one item of business to address for Dem Threes.  It seems that the (much) delayed arrival of Scott “Anti-Flash” Gordon also came with its accoutrements, including much hilarity and the mysterious appearance of a Tattoo-matching 62” Nemo lookalike.  Well, it seems that Ant-Flash (shown above) claimed to have landed this beauty with his borrowed Sweetgrass bamboo rod but, typical to form, his request for recognition came after the Threes had adjourned.  Hmmm, just what is that I see resting on the topside of Der Nemo?!?

Best to all in the concluding moments of it all,

Rock Creek Ron
